Best Quarter Rug

Specifically a quarter rug for exercising, not the ones that go under or round the saddle, or the saddle has to sit on top of in any way. And not crackly material! Doesn’t need to be waterproof.

So thermatex do one, as do le mieux (although hate that brand) and also there’s an infrared protech or something, not sure what that does.

Wondering which ones people like?
 
Love my Thermatex. I now have two as one didn’t really fit both horses and they are so nice.
Bought both from EBay one never used and one said used but arrived as new.
Really pleased with them.
 
Like my Thermatex. Bought with some prize money to make my horse look full dressage horse when he was competing. It is easy to take on put off and very nice quality. It’s almost too nice to keep at yard and I generally end up using an old Rambo waterproof. I have quite a bit of protechmasta equipment and it’s really good. No idea if does anything but good quality and fit for saddle pad, ear covers and boots

Thematex does look exactly what I have in mind.What does the protrchmasta do? I’ve spotted one in a sale.

I am not sure re the Protechmasta - it says it is infra therapy so promotes circulation etc. I don't know whether it makes any difference or not, but I use the ears all the time as they fit really nicely, and it does seem very well made.
 
I love my thermatex one. I was lucky enough to get it in the seconds sale when they did them online but this Facebook group is good for buying.

I love thermatex in theory but their dodgy sizing worries me. I looked at a custom order quarter rug but their sizing can be a bit big and I didn't want stuck with something that didn't fit. I don't like the guess work with their rugs.

I have the protechmasta. It is their version of Back on Track. I have the sheet too. No idea if it does anything that a normal rug wouldn't but I'm happy with fit and quality.

🤣 I know what you mean about "mustn't crackle" I had to sell my yellow waterproof hi viz quarter sheet because my mare didn't like the crackling 🙄.

Another thermatex fan here.
I found the sizing matched the guide really well (no sizing down as you do for rugs).
I think it was on a thread on this forum that someone described it as a hug from a rug and that feels accurate. It really doesn’t budge.
The bright orange is great for hacking.
