my torch has just died so i need a new one. Any one know which is the best one to get. I use it twice a day at this time of year so it needs to be rechargeable. Needs to be bright enough to check horses and feed in the field etc. Thanks

A word of warning!! ... I have just bought a rechargable torch, its got a lovely bright beam, wasn't too expensive, and has a battery life of all of 15 minutes!! Its a Draper so a well known make. So I would advise that you check carefully how long the battery will last before you buy one. By the way the torch is not faulty, I have since gone onto a review site for this torch and 15 minutes is all you get!

Thanks, i really need about 30 mins minimum, I end buying one each year as they dont seem to last when you charge them almost daily.

I live in a head torch in the winter as have no electricity. Means I have my hands free. Batteries last a good couple of months or more and I use it for approx an hour a day.

My mums partner invented the wind up torch, there are loads of copies about so messed, but the ones with Trevor Baylis' name on are great, never need batteries, just wind them up... Think he's on the diy hour on qvc onsunday with them...
