I have a bad habit of letting the reins slip through my fingers allowing the reins to get way too long. I'm working on it but wondered if anyone else finds particular reins better for not slipping?

I currently use reins which are rubber on the inside and plain leather on the outside. I previously had webbing reins which I absolutely hated.

Thanks

I used to love my plaited reins but now favour my XC rein with the stoppers running down them and only slight rubber. Brilliant even in wet hence their reason for purpose

probably continental reins but as you have said you hated webbing reins there is no point in suggesting those :o (i hate them too!)

what about plaited reins (i hate them but some people love them) or just normal rubber reins

I can't quote from my phone, but thanks for all the replies.

I hadn't thought that my gloves could be making it worse so it's new gloves and new reins this week!

I don't get on with rubber reins but good plaited reins with good gloves seem to do the trick for me.
