I have always loved Rambo and weatherbeeta and have never bought cheap rugs, but I have recently purchased a Protuff turnout rug as a friend was selling one and I thought id just try it for what little money it cost and I have to say im very pleasantly surprised! Its a nice fit, very waterproof and the lining is soft and keeps a nice shine on the horses coat and the rug doesn't slip at all on her, whereas I have tried numerous Masta rugs on 3 of my horses and they all slip back and slip to the side every day which I find really annoying!
So I have also ordered a Prouff combo turnout which I am waiting to arrived so I hope it will be as nice as the other rug.
The horseware range is fantastic but I love the tailflaps on the Weatherbeeta Freestyle range, ideal on our exposed fields. For durability you can't beat Horseware though.
Weatherbeeta, my 3 all have them and they are brill and seem to last and stand up well to the abuse my 3 give them and i am stillusing rugs that I brought 7 years ago and the outdoor ones still have not had to be reproofed.
Weatherbeta especially the freestyle range of Landas and Mark Todd.
But, strangely, the rugs that have lasted longest with the worlds best or worst rug ripper is his requiste lite turn out and requiste medium stable rug. They are also the cheapest I have ever bought.
