Hi all!

My poor boy is sweating standing in the field. He grows quite a course/thick coat all year. He's a native cob. He has shade in his field. The stables are just as warm as the field so no relief there.
He's minimally marked piebald with very very pink skin ?
So if I clip him he absolutely has to go into a uv fly rug/sweetitch rug but being a cob he's quite hard to find rugs that fit well.
He has weatherbeeta landa winter rugs which fit him really well.
All suggestions welcome! I spent well over £100 on fly rugs last summer so I'm quite happy to spend £100 on one that's going to last! He had a weatherbeeta fly rug which lasted him 48 hours before it ripped at the chest ?

Ahhh, pink skin was the bane of my life when I had a H/W cob who had to be clipped all year round. The weatherbeeta Kool Coat airstream was a great rug for him. The cotton back protected from sunburn and because of the mesh sides, the air flowed under the rug keeping him cool, so he didn't over heat. Its a tough rug, around £40+ and survived many summer's of abuse and washing. Also generously sized for cobs. Just ordered another one for my ID, I hope they are still made the same :)

Temp is dropping tomorrow so he will be fine than hopefully by the next time it gets hot he will be in full summer coat and will be ok.
