My 13.2hh has never really had a well fitting rug. Its not like I buy him cheap ones, he currently has a Rambo Wug and a Weatherbeeta Orican, neither of which seem to fit very well. The Rambo is a bit tight round his shoulders and the Weatherbeeta slips to one side badly (which most other rugs do as well). The pony is skinny nowadays (age and cushings, although he's a native I just cant get him to keep weight anymore) so I need to buy him a really cosy full neck rug for this winter but which makes fit ponies in particular? The ones I've had obviously come in horse sizes as well so I figured pony-only rugs might be proportioned better?

My pony's the same (though she's a real fattie ;)) her rugs slip to the side a lot. Though she's got a big belly, her chest is narrow and small. I have a rhinegold which doesn't slip to the side and fits her snugly. The only problem is I think it's designed for the more deep-chested ponies because the front doesn't do up tight enough and it slips back past her shoulder (I always find her in the morning lying down with her shoulder poking out from the rug, poor thing!) but generally she's quite happy in it. It's probably partly your pony too, so maybe you'll never get a really well fitting rug like you can for a horse, but maybe have a look at some rhinegolds. (They have some really cute designs too :D)
