I know this perhaps ought to be in Stableyard, but there are more people viewing this sectio.

The yard although great in every way has old bent shaving forks and its damned impossible to get his bed clean without taking ages. One of the liveries had a Junior Fork by Fynalite and it was amazing, so I am off later to buy a new fork, mainly for me , but for others when I'm not there.
I am only small 5 ft if I'm generous so what fork would you recommend and where did you buy it from.

Thanks

The Fynalites are great- I have had mine for years and years and it is still going strong! The Junior one is probably your best bet as you are little. I think they also come in funky colours now!

I think Fynalite it is, I couldn't believe how good they were.

stacieb21jed-I used to muck out with rubber gloves and a skip bucket, but since discovering the wonderful fork, the gloves are in the bin.

Thanks for your replies, going now to buy

Future forks!!! Lighter weight than fynalite and easier to use IMO - better angle of the head to the handle.

I've just googled them for you and came up with lots of sites that sell them, but none are the one I have......

Another vote for the Future Fork, at least as far as mucking out the stable goes - it is a little flimsy though for stacking the muck heap.

They are expensive but worth it. Everyone on the yard seems to borrow mine

Equestrian Clearance have a very similar looking fork for £7.99 if you're on a budget.

I've got one of the Fynalite rubber matting forks and it's great and doesn't get caught in the matting the way some of the other forks too.

Used a kind of scoop fork at a friends last weekend that you apparently get with aquamax bedding - really easy to scoop the poop.

I use a poatoe fork. It is pretty heavy duty and quite heavy but it builds up your arms and will last forever. No twisty wires and picks up the dumps pretty well.

Hmm Future Fork, I will have to look, been to get a fynalite and my local stockist only has the adult version and its a tad too long.
I just want a fork that smaller pieces of pooh don't fall thru.
