Hi
Im trailing through the Internet looking for a loan horse but there doesn't seem to be much about. Mostly companion horses or youngsters wanting work to break etc. A school master would be preferable. I have made the decision to semi retire my ex racer which is very upsetting. So he shall be schooled at home but probably not hacked out
His unpredictability is not funny anymore. Many thanks.

Suffolk. I'm an experienced rider and ride for a living. After 3 yrs with my ex racer who has been re schooled to a high level, I've had enough of his unpredictability. Hacking is down right dangerous at times. I've cried too many tears of frustration and realised that I have to admit defeat. He's staying with me but can't put up with his explosions. I've done my very best. So I have a brand new trailer and nothing to take out. Big glass of wine for me tonight to drown my sorrows.

Try Horsemart. I advertise ponies for share (my daughter's outgrown I cannot bear to part with!) Because they are first type ponies we have a reasonable turnover with the majority of sharers going to on get their own horses in a year or so - so I do end up looking at lot. I find advertising on the free or cheap sites - like pre loved and equi ads - attracts the wrong sort of sharer so I simply don't bother. Horsemart has always been the most successful for me - but Horses4homes is also good. Working on the basis that these are good sites to advertise on - hopefully you will also then find them good sites to source good loans from!

I have a 'wanted for loan' ad on preloved and horse mart - have had no repsonses yet and has been up for over a week.

There are loads of horses for loan on horsemart that would be suitable, but all to stay on current yards, which seems a shame when we could have the horse at home on our own yard. I can understand why though.....
