Best stable matting - recommendations (NOT EVA!)

Hi,

After recommendations for stable matting. We previously had the EVA mats - they were awful. Hubby must have had to re-cut them at least 6 times as they expand so bad in the heat and end up bowing!! So don't want them again. Don't mind if a bit heavier as 2 of us to maneuver about. TIA

crikey, which EVA mats did you have?! I have 2 different kinds and they have been fantastic

Anyway, I think with the heavy rubber, thicker is better.. I had 18mm heavy rubber from my local feed shop before swapping to EVA and it was fine. A friend had some lighter stuff and found it moved about a bit.

will go for heavier stuff. Flooring has been slightly angled for run off.

I have had the Fieldguard M2 mats for about eight years. Blooming marvellous. They are draining mats so should work well on a sloping floor. I di use a proper bed on top though. We also have the cheaper M8 mats in the field shelters. https://fieldguard.com/shop/complete-horse-bedding-mats-m2/
