Best supplement for osteoarthritis in both hocks

Currently feeding Naf Glucosamine & MSM and Naf Devil's Relief. My 17 year old gelding is very stiff these last few days. He has osteoarthritis in both hocks. Am worried about liver problems with devils claw. Is there anything out there better than this? Don't want to give him bute all the time but want him to be comfortable. Hate seeing him so stiff. Thanks in advance for any suggestions

We use Hack Up and have just started Boswellia alongside. I must say he is looking lots better since adding the Boswellia

I use aviform suppleaze gold on my 19 year old. It has certainly helped him.

realistically if he looks so stiff that you notice it, and hate seeing it then it may well be more appropriate to give him some medical input here.

The caveat to this is that I feed boswellia to mine, and think it's great and mostly he trots round the field like the welsh he is , but it isn't anywhere near the same effect as having them on bute, why don't you want to give him that all the time? Is he better on bute? or get him some steroid injections (would probably need to be one at a time)?

My own I had on boswellia when his one hock was starting to look unsatisfactory but not massively lame, when he got worse 12 months later I had it injected and wished I'd done it 6 months earlier.
