Lil currently does everything in brushing boots but they're starting to get a bit old and as we compete more seriously I'd like to get her some tendon boots for when we go SJing.

I've been looking at the WoofWear Pro Tendon boots but wondered what other people would recommend? I'm constantly worried about her legs getting too hot so wondered about some of the air cooled ones but wasn't sure how robust they were.

I have the Woof Wear Pro tendon boots (and the matching fetlock boots too) and they are very good. My mare is 15.3hh anglo and she needs the S/M as the M/L swamped her. The tendon boots are a touch shorter than I would like. One of the straps did come off when they were about 2 years old but I sewed it on again and I still use them happily.

I also have the Equilibrium Tri Zone set and I think that they are a little bit stronger and because of the ribbed inside my horse's lesgs sweat a bit less in them. She has the medium size in these and they fit really well.

ETA. Equilibrium do a vented version which might be worth looking at. :)

ilove woof wear boots...i think they are great value and last for years :)

i use the pro tendon boots for sj and the ultra boots for xc. i also think the NEW tendon boots are good and they do an aerocool type as well. i also have clarendon boots and they are ****!

Basic Mark Todd tendon boots. Sit well, don't move, and not too sweaty. These are used for most ride.

TriZone Cross Country boots all round for when either she's in a dingbat mood and forgets where her legs are, or when going cross country :). Legs stay reasonably cool. Hard to put on until you've got them bedded in to the leg shape, but once you've reached that stage they're fine.
