Any suggestions on the best thin saddle pad that doesnt slip?
Some of the popular matchy matchy ones dont seem very comfortable for the horse with hard seams etc.

I use the Nuumed ones, I think they're called 'everyday' saddle pads. They are very thin and do come in some nice colours, I find that the high wither version with the d ring loops are the better sort for clearance over withers obviously but neither version moves.

Overall I find saddle pads better after a couple of washes, I have cottage craft, eskadron and caldene pads that were fine after a wash but none are as thin or good as the Nuumed ones.

Agree with your comment about the seams. I've been looking for a new saddle pad that is good quality and doesn't have scratchy seams. The Nuumed ones seem to curl in after a few washes and my Le Mieux sheepskin has gone rough on the seams now.

Eskadron cotton? They're thin and hold their shape nicely without having a reputation for rubbing like certain brands.

Have you seen that www.thesaddlepadcompany.com are bringing Equitex to the UK? Doesn't slip and doesn't rub - made with velvet!
£209 😱 for a numnah!

OP I find Nuumed or Eskadron cotton good depending upon whether you like girth or d-ring attachments. Le Mieux suede ones are good too but a but thicker and stiffer.

I've tried:
Weatherbeeta - it slipped a bit and horse didn't like it, not enough room over the wither.

Big Horse Shop / Epic - I think they're a bit basic but horse loves them, definitely his favourite due to generous fit over the wither. No slipping and washing well.

Le Mieux - my favourite, non slip, washes well, looks good. Horse doesn't mind it.

I love my equiport ones and you can go mad with colour combinations. Mine have lasted for over ten years with everyday use and wash up as good as new everytime, even the pale (white!!) ones.

I've not had problems with slipping or rubbing etc. on any of the horses with them.

They’re not super thin and they’re not super cheap BUT the PS of Sweden monogram pads are fab. No straps to faff with and they truly stay in place despite any shapes thrown (can you tell I’ve tested them lol), soft edging so no rubbing either.

Being a matchy Queen I have plenty but my most used is my plain black one. Had it 3 years now and it still looks beautiful and is very wearable.

I have quite a few le mieux ones as I love the colours and my horse seems happy in them. However, I think the KM Elite and Griffin Nuumed ones are better (just don't come in as many snazzy colours unfortunately)
