Best time to advertise?

I was just wondering what your opinions were on the best time to advertise a pony?? I know that the market has been pretty stagnant for a few months now, as I have seen many ads repeated over and over again and I don't really want to get into that situation, so would you think just before spring would be a better time?

You are right the market is stagnant at the moment and like you I keep seeing the same old adverts. I am looking to buy so I am hoping in the Spring a lot more become available and hopefully at reasonable prices!

I am waiting for another couple of weeks but that is largely due to the fact my boy was off for the best part of December thanks to the snow! He has been back in work for a week now, completely stripped today and beginning to look like his normal self - once/if he sells, then I start hunting for myself..

Early Spring - people start looking for next season around then and the weather will hopefully be on your side. I managed to sell a horse recently, and quite easily, but priced him too sell - asking silly money at the moment is a waste of time and advertising.

I expect the market will pick up in March/April as people will be looking at buying new horses for the show season. I am looking at buying a youngster to bring on and sell in a few weeks (hoping to get it before the market picks back up and prices go up.)
