When's going to be the best time to find a new pony for my daughter? Kick along first pony type (her current one refuses to do anything off lead rein, bless him

I was thinking end of show season time? But wondered if I could get a bargain if I wait until winter? What do you think?
Funds are limited as she's moved on quicker than planned and not had time to save!
