I'm looking for a new pair, I need to get some that are extremely sturdy and can't be shaken off!

Are the MT ones good for that?

I have the pessoa ones which I compared to my friends MT ones, and found they were exactly the same, just different colours. I think they are great, very tough and dont slip. Mine are two years old now and get used at least once a week, and still look fab

I have the 'Hoy' ones made by New Equine Wear, they are excellent - really easy to put on and dont move. I've had some for 5 years now, and they still look great, and havent gone saggy...

MT. Was tempted by some cheap ones last summer. THey've died already so have gone back to MT. My girl is a box kicker so they have to be sturdy and the MT pair she had before lasted 3 years

Mark Todd. Used on average twice a week for 3 years, never washed, and still look really good even compared to the brand new ones I bought for the other pony. Well worth the money.

I have some cheap Countrywide own brand ones, and they are brilliant- they didnt move an inch when horse shot back out of trailer and got loose in the field, galloping around madly for a good 10 minutes.

Another MT fan here. Set I have must be about 8 years old now, used on average once a week, sometimes more, only been washed once in all that time (disgusting I know) and still absolutely fine and in no need of replacement. Also have a Shires set, not a patch on the MT ones.

I've got Robinsons own brand cheapo ones and they're so good I've bought a spare set for the future when mine wear out in case they ever stop making them or change the design.

I had some shires ones but his lordship doesn't like the firm, moulded boots... so I got some poly pad floppy ones which were awful and fell down all the time

So now we have thermatex ones and they stay on and are fabricy so he doesn't get too bothered by them

I have always had Woof Wear ones until recently when I bought a set of Mark Todd ones. The Woof Wear ones have always worn very well, but all of the straps (five or six I think) were a bit fiddleey to get off! The Mark Todd ones are much easier as they have wider straps.

The only slightly negative thing I would say about the Mark Todd ones is that if you have a horse that doesn't have a lot of bone, the velcro straps will overlap a lot which could make them come undone easily. However, my horse has quite a bit of bone and he doesn't have a problem!

The Mark Todd ones are very good, don't get saggy like some others I've seen. I've had mine 3 years.

I love my WW ones, all ours have them, they fit really well and dont slip. Much better than robinsons own, could get them to stay up.

i have amigo ones. They are really nice looking, sturdy, my horse hasn't shaken them off once, v. strong velcro and the best thing - they were only £25! bargain!

I don't use travel boots - they're far too bulky for the long journeys I do to comps and I find horses overheat wearing them. I much prefer leg wraps (SMBs are good or the turnout socks) and overreach boots.

Thats funny, I never find their legs over heat. I don't know how longer journey, but our journeys for the year so far have ranged from the shortest at one hour and longest was 3 days and 2 nights traveling. Never did they get sweaty legs...Just shows how all horses are different.

I have a masta pair for my boy, as he HATED boots to start with and these are very thin, so he dosen't mind them to much, now at least 4yo and I think they finally need a wash!!!
Sis had a set of MT, but her then horse destroyed them!!! Would stand of himself, throw himself around and then they began slipping, but stick bandages on and he was happy as larry!!!
Flynn has had sweaty legs once, but that was because he was dripping all over, and I think it was dripping into his boots!!!

NO, they are not good if your horse can shake them off! Arch got his off the other week and took a shoe with it, it wasnt pretty!
