i have to get a set for my new lad... i always had woofwear ones before. having a rigid strike pad bit at the bottom has always been a real must for me. I was considering the Mark Todds this time...

any other recommendations?

I personally found the Mark Todd ones slipped, but know others rate them. The ones that fit my cob best are the Amigo ones.

Not the cheapest, but I'm a huge fan of Bucas Max travel boots- had my current set for over 4 years, they are used almost weekly, get thrown in the washing machine every so often and are as good as new! Great strike pads, and they don't shift during use (even when Dobbin gets impatient and paws the ground for ages). They are quick to get on and off and they offer full covering of hocks and knees. They are made with a stay-dry lining, which means if they go on wet legs, the moisture is wicked to the outside of the boot, and legs are dry underneath - they also don't get too hot in the summer. I don't work for Bucas, just think they are a really fantastic product!
