Best travel boots

My louis doesn't like the long over the hock ones so I either use pads and fleece bandages or the snuggy wraps.

Arabi has weatherbeeta ones but they are really old and I have in the past just used nothing or what I would put on Louis.

I really like the Eskadron pads they are not too bulky and they don't seem to get too hot with those
 
When I bought my mare she came with some lemieux travel boots. I don't generally use travel boots but on this particular mare I have started using them and am quite impressed, the mare is not good traveller hence my reason for using them but they stay in place and hopefully are stopping her from knocking herself.
 
I have Premier Equine ones. They stay in place well and have never slipped so am pleased with them. One horse only wears fronts but the other has all round on the very odd occasion they travel these days!
 
Before I realise dhow much better he travels without them I used some Amigo ones that I had from my old pony. They must be 15 years old but still good as new and have been very well used

I love my Mark Todd travel boots. They have put up with some serious battering from my bad traveller. My more sensible one has weatherbeeta ones, they do the job, but they are nowhere near as good as the Mark Todd ones.
 
I think mine are Mark Todd. I bought them second hand 14 years ago. They are very hard wearing although the scuff pads did eventually come off. I like them because they are nylon lined which makes them easy to wipe clean. I often have to put them on muddy legs for a journey home and I don't want to put dirty boots on clean white legs for my next outing.
 
i use a&j style fleece boots, or the supreme products fleece ones. i know for a fact both of my numpties would do more damage in full length padded ones😂

I loved these boots but you just don't see them anymore but they do offer the best protection.

I worked for someone who only used those for all her horses but that was years ago when I was young 😂
 
Fo me the vulnerabe areas seem to be coronets/ heels, and knees. So I use these - but I bought them many years ago - I cannot believe the price of them now!!! Thankfully they seem pretty tough and have lasted well, so I would probably buy the same again if I had to.

these are the ones I have, also bought several years ago and I also 😳 at the price! Definitely didn’t pay that!

Old thread but looking for advice…

Travel boots that are not super hot?? Pony gets very warm travelling, I don’t usually bother with boots but she knocked herself in the trailer the other week 🙄

I was thinking maybe the fleece wrap style??
 
Sorry to hear about your pony, hope she's ok.

I like the Mark Todd travel boots, but there may be some more breathable options out there for this hot weather.
Brushing boots is another option.
