for someone with hips?

Off to Olympia next week and have realised that all of my breeches are lightweight. I really fancy some fleecy lined ones, but I'm a size 14/16 with relatively large hips and relatively small waist, with short legs (sounds attractive doesn't it :( ?!). Can anyone recommend nice, non-blingy, warm breeches that aren't cut for a German long legged dressage rider? Please?!

I did try on a pair of hkm winter soft shell breeches. Fit was ok. I didn't like the thicker material so have gone back to normal lighter weight ones but you might like that for winter. Equitech foxhunter breeches are nice too, fleece lined, but only come in lighter colours.

I really like the musto fleecy ones. They have an elastic waist so really comfy and they are so warm. I bought a pair years ago and now its all I wear around the horses in winter. I have 2 pairs so I can wear one, wash one and they are still going strong after a good few winters.

I don't think you can beat Musto ultimates (the ones with no stirrups), but they don't do them in light colours any more. And I'm a twelve and I wear the large ones, but they are very, very stretchy so I don't know how big they will fit. At least a sixteen, I would say. I have three beige pairs, new, from when they used to make them. I bought them to hunt in and then gave up hunting :D. They are so fab I hate to waste them if anyone needs a pair let me know.

Only two. :D??? I have six, not including my beige ones. I buy them every time they appear cheap on eBay :). I do live in them all winter, though.

For hacking I just wear some Primark fur lined leggings which cost about £8. The best thing for hacking but the musto ones sound fab, just a shame they don't do them in lighter colours for competing anymore.

I live in my pikeur badir (think that's the model?) soft shell. Cut a bit like jeans, so toasty and comfy. I'm curvy with a nipped in waist - lots of styles really don't fit. Currently trying to work out if I can justify a second pair... They are not cheap, but wearing really well.
