I am making some enquiries about 3.5 acres close to my house.

My solicitor is finding out who owns the land and then he is going to wrtie to the owner asking if they want to sell.

My dilema is about how we go about asking

Should we write to them asking how much they would be prepared to accept for it.

or

Do we write to them and say we would like to offer £xxxx for it?

i would ask them if you they were willing to sell and how much they would like for it, also make some investigations as in to how much land is worth in that area so you know whether what they say is over priced or not... x

We know how much it is worth per acre as grazing land but we also know what we would be willing to pay!!!

It depends on what part of the country you live in when it comes to price but in Bucks its 10 to 15,000 and acre,Saying that iv seen a 1.97 acre go for £94,000 !
