Best Way To Clean Velcro?

I lent a pair of brushing boots to a friend a week ago and I got them back today covered in mud. Mud can be cleaned off easy enough but at some point they have been for a roll in some cotton wool! To say I am miffed is an understatement!

So how do you get all that flumf out of the sticky bit of velcro?

Or use a hair pin or pair of tweezers to pull it out.

Yes, look in the pet section. The brush is intended for getting coat tangles out of long haired dogs, but works equally well to clean Velcro

I use a slicker brush on my labs to get undercoat out when moulting and to clean velcro, works very well.

The velcro cleaner works well. Slightly easier if velcro is still damp from washing.

Thick needle works as well, use you plaiting one.
