grooming kit??

Mine's a state as it was covered in hay and hair mixed with mud last winter and I've not looked at it since.

Had a peek the other day and it's state shocked me!

So, how'd you clean your brushes??

Everyone does it differently im sure but this is what i do;

Wait for a reasonably nice day chuck it all out
hose the box out giving it a good scrub
pull all the old hair etc out of the brushes then chuck in a bucket of warm soapy water to soak for a while
give them a hose off to rinse them properly then leave in sun to dry out

good luck hehe x

Umm... don't really clean mine alot!! But, I get a bucket of water and hibi scrub, take the hair off any brushes with hoof pick(good for curry combs) take any dried mud off with metal curry comb(or just smack the brush on a wall :P ) and then scrub them with your hand when they're in the bucket, and leave them to steep for about 10minutes. Then just take them out, hose off and leave to dry somewhere.

Sounds complicated but it's not really!!

I bung all the brushes (well bar curry combs etc) in the washing machine . They come out nice and clean!!
I just was the box out with soapy water

1. Take all grooming kits home!
2. Tip out/pull off the worst of the hair/straw/mud etc., if your grooming kit contains such yukkiness! lol
3. Half fill bath with luke warm water & a squirt of Head & Shoulders.
4. Chuck everything in (except for expensive leather or expensive wood backed brushes! lol).
4. Use stiff dandy brush to scrub everything clean.
5. Rinse thoroughly in cold water & shake off worst of the water.
6. Hurl everything out of airing-cupboard onto nearest child's bed & arrange brushes etc. neatly & artistically on a towel in said airing-cupboard to dry!
