Best way to look after leather boots??

I've just brought some new hkm riding/yard/country boots and I know they arnt the best quality as only paid £60, however I would like to look after them as much as possible as would like them to last!
They are brown leather and have no idea how to clean/what to put on them and how not to ruin them!!!

To buy a second better quality pair and not wear the cheap ones outside the house ;D

I clean my leather boots with a damp cloth (sometimes I use tack cleaner).
Then I just polish them with normal shoe polish and put waterproof solution on them (I use Dubbin). I got 5 years out of my Ariat paddock boots so this method works for me

Loads of liquid nikwax and wax regularly applied work it with your hand.

I have just bought a pair of Toggi Canyon boots.They are made of brown newbuck leather.I would be interested to know how to look after newbuck leather
