Best welly to buy??

Hi all, so today I found a hole in my wellies :( I have had them 2 years and they were ariat mudbuster. I need a new pair but don't want the same as the new mudbusters don't seem to last according to liveries at my yard. Any advice??
 
Personally, I'd get Aigle. They're made in France. All the others, including Ariat are made in China. My Aigles are 9yrs old and still going strong.
 
Cheapy Dunlop farmers willies. I got mine for £10 and they last me as long, if not longer, than the expensive ones I have had and I wear them for a lot including dog walking etc.
 
Barbour wellies from Scats. Not expensive despite the name and mine have lasted 2 years and 4 months which is an all time record !
 
I've had about seven pairs of Ariat mudbusters. Every single pair has split after a couple of months and got wet feet. I got them because they have a sole for riding and are so comfy, but never again now. OH has bought me some Grubs frostline wellies for Xmas. I've tried them on in the shop and they are like slippers they are so comfy. Not suitable for riding in, but I'll just change into my jodhpur boots.
 
I am a 'professional' welly trasher and have given up on expensive ones as have yet to find a pair that lasts a winter.

I have found the cheap dunlops get me through at least a year, so thought I would stick to this make but treat myself to an upgrade, so have just bought a pair of Dunlop purofort with steel toecaps. So far so good, warm and a good grip. However I was leading a fiesty 5 yr old in today which trod on my toe - with the steel toe cap I didn't notice it had pulled off my welly and carried on walking through the mud in a sock - yuck!!!!
 
Can recommend the leather Le Chameau's and Ariat's. Mine have been abused in mud and muck heaps for several years.

For rubber/ neoprene welly boots, I love the Muck boots tynes. Feet are always warm and they're so comfortable..
 
Lazybee, my super-dooper top of the range Aigle Parcours lasted three months. I'm about to return them. Ariat Mudbusters were returned three times in less than eight months leading Ariat to give me some Windermere leather boots which lasted no time either! Le Chameau leather lined lasted a whole two years but the neoprene lined ones lasted only a year. Muck Boots leaked and were returned and I'm currently wearing those whilst waiting for replacement Aigle wellies. Muck Boots, I find, have zero grip in the mud and snow, though. Hunters last no time at all! Perhaps my flat feet make me particularly heavy on footwear! OH tells me I should swallow my wellie pride and buy Dunlop wellies!

Sidney, I went to a point-to-point last season and saw someone wearing Dunlop wellies with the word "Dubarry" written up the back of their wellies in marker pen!! Today, I've discovered my left Muck Boot is leaking.......badly........hey ho - hope the Aigle boots are replaced quickly!
 
I wear my Aigle Parcour ISO wellies for around 12hrs a day for 6 months of the year and they're still going strong in their 4th winter.
 
It all depends on your budget:

Do not bother with Hunters, the quality is terrible, the last pair I brought lasted 6 months!

Currently, I have the joules wellies as they have a 1 year guarantee, so when the last pair started leaking at 9 months I just took them back to the Joules shop in town and they swapped them, no issues, for a new pair, they let me pick a new pattern too. The new pair now has a one year guarantee - so for £40 I feel I have a good deal.

My dunlops have lasted me two winters soo far. One now has a hole :( - but hubby is fixing them with plastic weld so they'll be good for another winter :) - maybe try that before buying a new pair :)
