Best whitening shampoo for stains?

Do a search on here - this topic was covered in great detail 3 weeks or so ago :) (fwiw - I use Gallop shampoo for greys and stain remover - could be NAF..) but there were loads of really good suggestions on previous thread

For whitening I like the gallop colour blue shampoo but i find whitening doesnt always cover the stains. Id recommend getting a stain remover then using a whitener or if necessary normal shampoo then whitener. Hope that helps

......& apply wiv one of those shower scrunchies..really easy way to give stains a good scrub plus makes the shampoo last longer.

Johnsons baby bath is they only thing that's get rid of ours yellow hocks & grufty feathers! I've tried every horsey shampoo known to man & never had results as good as the baby stuff :D

will definately give some of these a try - especially the fairy and johnsons baby for general bathing, as gallop/cowboy magic will get very expensive! maybe I will just use them for shows!, I will experiment and let you know the outcome!!
thanks

ive just bought the absorbine show clean again. loved it. i have also ended up adding alot more onto my shopping basket though oops totally about £50 in shampoos alone!!!!

I just use warm water and fairy liquid then gallop whitening shampoo :)

i have thought about doing this but my oh is a vet nurse and warned me about the skin problems / harshness / wrong ph balance etc?

and no i dont buy my shampoo's from their vet practice so nothing untoward like marketing for sales going on ;)

Tesco's value shampoo is far better than any horse shampoo. Finish off with chalk block, and your horse will be sparkling.

I thought about skin issues etc but so many people seem to use fairy, I think its just a case of trial and error, we have always used fairy on our other horses, exept before a show when we use an equine shampoo - dont know why! but have never had a grey (well partially) Cant wait to get him home now and give him a good bath! :)
