Im thinking about getting the ponio one of these lycra hood things however, i want to know whats the best type out there, there are a few, and id like a cheapy one if poss as i cant really afford £90 for snuggy hoods.

Last year she had a cheap one that only went over the ears and it was **** never stayed up, and rubbed her mane even though i thought they were supposed to help :(

Any experiences and advice :)

snuggy hoods are the best,
they hardly ever snag,
dont move(be careful to buy the right size)
dont rub
out of the washing machine and back on the horse.

i have had cheaper ones that were a waste of money and lasted weeks.

i have 2 snuggies and have had them for several years and they are still good.
(my mare has SI and wears her all the time,in summer for the midges and winter to be clean and dry.)

having tried numerous cheap & mid priced ones over the years, this year i will be buying a snuggy hood version, i have their indoor fleece ones & they don't budge, so hoping the turnout ones will be as good!
