am celebrating! Even if we get a load of snow dumped on us now, this will still be the best winter I have had as a horse owner - so for past 6 years.

My horse is still in work 5 days a week, in the last week we have had a lesson on fri, schooling/hack on sat, lunged for 30 mins on sun, 1 1/2 hack today with pipe openers.... she might have tomorrow&wed off depending on the weather but then we have another lesson on thurs. I just cant beleive how lucky we have been with the weather! Today I hacked out and left my jacket hanging on the gate and no gloves! We are still managing the RC dressage league days too, whereas last winter most were cancelled. And did I mention Im 6 months pregnant:D

Just so chuffed to still be riding on so many levels and if it all stops next week, I wont feel like winter has cheated me out of too much time this year:cool:

Best winter for me too - not loads of riding as i can't in the week but this is the first year mine have been able to stay out 7-5 instead of just a few hours - my girly is so much happier & easy to work on a weekend.
Weather wise - amazing, still can't believe how warm its been :)

Totally agree, no frozen taps is such a treat! The fields are looking good too, quite green. Spring should be better than last year with it being wetter and warmer, so I wonder if the hay prices will be any cheaper for next winter. Erm I bet not!

I hope you haven't tempted fate?! ;) There's plenty of time for it to go pear-shaped yet!!:eek:

I do hope not - like you, we have had such wonderful weather and perfect riding days! We saw primroses, crocuses and daffs this weekend!

I hope this thread hasn't jinxed it! I was thinking the same thing last week I've had my four out every day so far although going to leave them in tomorrow as weather looks cold and foul and have to work so won't be home until 6.30 by which time they will be miserable.
