My friend is selling her horse and she is very upset so i thought to cheer her up i could surprise her and we could have a last fun session at a xc course-but i dont know which one to choose, so which one do you think is the best in the south west?

(preferably one with lots of big and cool jumps!!!)

well im in colyton(a random town that noone knows about!)But its near...sidmouth, honiton budleigh salterton etc but i can travel up to sort of an hour and a half away(or more i guess)

We have at least 3 I can think of down here. But I think we are a bit far away.

Pendavy Equestrian - Wadebridge, N.Cornwall
Chyverton - Near Truro, Cornwall.
Knightswood - Near Newquay, Cornwall

I think there is quite a good one near Plymouth, somewhere??

Stockland Lovell or Pontispool are within an hour and half of you (just). Both have good range of jumps from minimus to BE.

yup ive been to stockland lovell, pontispool and blackdownhills-they are all good but was just trying to think of one we havnt been to!

as mentioned there is Winkleigh but that is about 40-60mins from Exeter. Nice course though.

There is a new course on Exmoor which is running a BE event this year not sure if open yet but worth enquiring about.

Further afield Aldon, West Wilts, Bricky but no clue if they are open for schooling or not!

How about Nutwell near Exeter?

The new one near Exmoor had an advert in Equestrian Now I think, if you have it - I'm sure it said it was open for schooling.

No I don't think so.

You could try ringing the saddlery shop there or maybe St Davids Equine Vets. Not really sure how you hire it as in the past I've just tagged along with someone else. Also, not sure how much of the course they open up for schooling. Sorry, not a great deal of help on this one.
