Back again for some more great advice.
I’ve noticed my 28 year old Connie is struggling to get up again after rolling. This is very recent as I have restarted taking him out for walks with his best friend and some very gentle walking on the lunge so he doesn’t feel left out. He’s been fine all winter when I’ve seen him roll. It’s also possible that it may be because the only place I’ve seen him roll recently is when I’ve popped them onto the dry lot before bringing them in for the night and I do know he’s still lying down in his stable. I don’t want to completely stop including him in any activities, so I’m thinking maybe put him on non prescription pain relief. I tried turmeric and he’s one of the 7% whose tummy can’t take it, which is a shame because it’s really helped his friend.
What do other people use? Do you rate Devil’s Claw? Is Boswellia liquid too close to Turmeric?
