Anyone been - what did you think?
Personally - slightly horrified at some the Asian imported gear...... pink, lilac, orange bridles????

I had tickets to go last year but didnt make it. Weezy went this year.
But yes i have heard all sorts, good and bad.

HAHA cant quite think many ppl would purchase such tack, but then again.....

OMG Catherine - at every turn this year I was opened mouthed in shock and horror!!! Some very, ummmm, interesting things there!

Alot of things opened my eyes ! there is alot of pink and orange coming

But i some how got stuck on the weatherbeeta and shires stand

Yes interesting to say the least, lots of bling and colour!

There were pink bling headcollars on the john whittaker stand this year as well.

Loads of Indian/pakistani tack manufactuerers as well as a few chinese ones also.

You could get in under invitation (I had a spare ticket when I went on sunday)

My missus were really taken with getting into the Moda (clothes) show which is on a few halls up but I guess its difficult to get in also

It is a trade show so you need to apply in advance via the BETA website with a company name

I loved some of the really blingy tack, diamante breastplates -

Most excited though to see John & Michael Whittaker (& get autograph for Will - soo sad!) Geof Billington, Matt Ryan, Andrew & Bettina Hoy, Lyn Russell

, and I think Ollie Townsend.
I also saw H's mum and her bump which was very nice

I went a couple of years ago. Lots of imported tack then but less bling, but still some shocking stuff LOL!

That was when Disney saddlecloths were en vogue

Yes I did BETA and Moda, that made it worth the drag up from Kent! Fortunately fashion is well integrated into the horse world now so I have plenty of justification!

That's where I'm a bit uncomfortable, I'm really trying to buy and source 'ethically' but it if certainly not easy and off to Asia this weekend for a bit in the hope that we see some improvements.

I went, really enjoyed it.........Met Lee Pearson on the Bliss Bedding stand, nice person..... Also met H's Mum...
The new Toggi wear is lovely, really nice colours........

You realise that most brands are sourced from AsiaPac?

The number of stands at BETA are increasing because they get subsidised to be there (shame small UK companies don't!)
