hi, i am just wondering how you make yourself fitter so you can ride longer and how you get a better posture
thank you :D

ps. i am looking into doing a jockey course or something just to get a taster for it but i have to get "racing fit" first :p i would also like to lose a little bit of weight too :o

My physio reccomended sit ups because stomach muscles are so important for posture, and the leg scissor thing (lie on your side, towel under hip, lift leg up and down and in circles) which strengthens hip muscles, they are very important in riding :)

You should try yoga, it defiately helps to stretch your muscles, improve your posture and core strength therefor improving your balance. Bit tough at first lol, but worth it.
I started riding again recently after being out for several months and i was apsolutely pooped! I think people can sometimes under estimate how fit you need to be to ride.
So i started running and it definately helped to shift the lard ha, and also i go to Zumba dance classes with some friends: keeps you fit, dancing can help to improve your balance and co-ordination, but most importantly it makes you laugh which helps because it easier to stick to exercising when it makes you smile.:):):)
