...... I am totally MAD.

I came home from holiday today and went out to go and see jim and say hi, any way I go and check stable which has been done perfectly while I am away and really pleased. Anyway I then notice that other horses stable is done and my hay is in her hay net.

Now before I went away I organised for the girl looking after jim and big bale of hay to arrive for MY horse alone so that she could just do him really easily and not worry as I was sharing hay with the other livery and she was hopeless at brining up hay and bringing enough up (jim on ad lib). So I got this big bale of lovely hat that cost me a small fortune as I only needed the one bale and told the other livery that is was for Jim and my helper to use so that he was not her worry at all etc etc. and that she only had to bring up hay for her horse.

So I come back today and find that MY HAY is in her haynet!!!! So she has been stealing from me for a week. I am so cross, she could of just TEXT me to ask and I would of said OK pay me half the Bale. I know its not that big a deal but I organised for MY horse to be looked after paid for him to be cared for for a week so she would not have to worry and that my peace of mind too as she was bad at bringing enough hay up for two horses. I have Jim on loan as she basically got dumped with him after havng a sharer for him, I pay for everything for him and she keeps both the horses at my yard free as she was going through a money worry and we thought it might help.

I am so cross. How hard i it to text someone and just ask and why should my organising ability be taken advantage from. I know it may sound pathetic but its just not fair and she is being rude. I could of handed Jim back after I feel off as we had no written agreement and still don't as it is only short term, but I didn't as I knew I wanted to get back on eventually and I liked to look after him and I knew that if I gave him back he would be left to go ribby and poor again.

Sorry for long rant

Glass of wine and chocolates if you get this far and advice on what to do. I want to ring her up and tell her to take Jim back and get off my land but I know that I am really cross so maybe not a good thing to do.

Blimey, Think you need to have the wine and choccies and realx......

That being said, I would be really cross as well, that is taking the mickey, when you have calmed down, I would be inclined to just ask her why she has been using your hay, it 'may' have just been a misunderstanding.

(((((( hugs)))))

Thanks for the wine and choclates!!:D

Ok I can understand your inital feelings of her taking advantage:o - take a deep breath and wait until the morning until you say or do anything. Firstly you need to make sure she has used the hay all week - it maybe that it was only tonight and there maybe a reason for it - maybe she did both stables or something. Talk to the girl who doing Jim and see if there was a conversation you don't know about etc etc and then talk to the other livery - there may be a perfectly acceptable explanation for this.:o

Other than that how is Jim? :confused:was he pleased to see you? and when do you think you may be getting back on board? how is your back feeling?:D

Tell her she owes you for half the bale, then if you can just get your own in the future and lock it away if you can. I too would be furious and i would also be straight on the phone wanting to know what she was playing at too.

Thanks. Yes, def not doing anything tonight. and yes def need all the information before I talk to her. Jim said Hi and looked well but was under his fly rug. I had to take Jelly out when I got home as she was going spare in the stable he was more happy that she was out than to see me. So Nicky (the girl doing Jim) def did Jim tonight as Jelly's owner came down while we were unpacking (I stayed in the house so didn't say anything to her) and did her stable and made haynet up.

My back is so much better. I am going to lunge the Jim tomo and take some pics and videos etc and do that for a further week then get back on board get him going and then try and find him a new home.

Calming down now. sorry but it just really annoys me when people don't ask. Its not that hard to send a text!

Look on the bright side, It was only for a week, I been having my feed stolen for the last couple of months and still don't know who the corporate is and don't have a say in feeding my horse - my own food, so can't put a lock on it either.
I would have confronted her about the hay though, When I also found out someone was stealing my supplements for their horse I did confont the person - who went a nice shade of red and it didn't happen again.
Sorry this is happening - Hate hay/feed thieves!
I would make her pay for the bale though or atleast the amount you reckon she used from it..
