Hello all

Excuse me for not many too details but crime just been discovered and we are awaits police details

At some point last night theirs have broken into my my friends shed which was seemingly well secured and stolen a large amount of valuable and rare western tack - I will get photos shortly and a crime ref once we have one

Tis has taken place in the harden area bingley in a very secluded area so we are highly suspicious that this must have been a bit of a inside deal and the theirs could be known to my friend as the area is so off the beaten track and not somewhere in sight of public.

Stolen items are two wester saddles, on premier 16 inch in brown, the other a cycle y 16 inch in brown - both are numbered which I will get once I have them off my pal.

Also nicked, western bridles and saddle pads and breastplates.

These items Re easily traced and will be hard to flog online or via local tack shops as they re so rare - please pm me if you are offered any western tack of back of lorry so to speak

We have flooded Facebook already, emailed all the auction houses and tacks hops, contacted horse watch, and all livery yards in a 20 mile radius ( we don't mess about)

More details to follow as soon as I get them

Gutted for friend she has had such a tough time and such a nice lady - my blood has boiled with hate for these despicable people - she is completely heartbroken.

Thanks in advance

Agree, its horrible. Our yard was robbed and it was an inside job. It is possible though that your friend was either spotted while they were out riding and discreetly followed, or I'm afraid good old Google Earth makes finding horse keepers a doddle. The low level pictures are so good I could identify which was which amongs the 3 greys that were in the field with my girl.
Don't forget Holmfirth market. It has been almost completely taken over by travellers and when I went looking my stolen saddle, there was a Falcon being sold, complete with hairy girth and numnah. No way was that a legit sale.

It's deffo someone who knows the poor lady as they have left other saddles and my friends hides hers in a trunk and then covers with rugs - you would never know they are there - so its someone who has made a beeline for them - as everything else is left almost like they knew to look straight under rigs etc....

We are peeling eBay, dragon driving ore loved ad trader....

Emailed all the tack shops and auctions and we are going up to clitheroe on sat to see what we can see

Local papers are all doing stories on this tomorrow and Friday so we are really making the stuff too hot to handle

All tack shops and livery yards in the area have the posters and photos and it's all on horse watch Facebook.

We have thought over every avenue - has someone followed her home, someone lately made interest about her tack etc..... But she cannot think of anything specific

It's bloody awful

Re grammar and spelling - many poster pick up on the tiniest of things these days so wanted to apologise as I really want the focus to be on the stolen tack

Our insider was a livery who had recently been chucked off for dealing horses which was strictly against the rules. Anyone like that on your friend's place, or a loaner maybe? In my case I'm fairly sure my saddle would have been passed on to his very dodgy horsedealing boyfriend who would give tack away with horses he sold. An excellent way of fencing stolen goods. One person I knew got a Stubben saddle with the horse!!!
