Beyond belief - tied and dumped

But DQ do you understand that THIS is what happens when charities are full to bursting of people's unwanted castoffs that would have been better shot than left in poor health to take up valuable charitable resources that might have been used to help young horses which might have had a future.

Sure tieing it to a gate and dragging it off a trailer was not the way to deal with it but if more people were prepared to take responsibility for animals they can no longer look after this sort of horrendous treatment wouldn't happen. This poor filly's owner would have been told that any charity places were taken:(

RIP poor girl

 oh! that explains it then!!:eek:

If the law of passports and micro chipping actually worked, the owners could be found. Sheme this world we live in is full of Wa####S.
The law abiding get penalised and the scum get away with all sorts!
I would happily kick 10 shades of C##P out of the owner!!!

I dont believe for a minute these owners checked whether a charity could take the filly and were turned down, for god sake anyone who took the trouble to contact a charity would NOT do such a shocking thing. Total b*****ds!

I think the fact it was emaciated suggests long term neglect. I highly doubt these *******s called any charity!

These stories never fail to shock me. I just can't understand how anyone can treat any animal like that. It makes me feel so sad to think how these poor animals must have suffered for so long and are in horrendous pain before finally being put out of their misery because thankfully someone did find them. It's just horrid and so upsetting.

Sadly even if the microchipping etc was made a legal requirement (ok so it is but it isn't exactly ever really checked is it), there are always going to be law breakers aren't there and unfortunately they just don't seem to be brought to justice often enough. This kind of cruelty isn't penalised harshly enough anyway in my mind. If it was then maybe it wouldn't happen so often.

FFS! I feel like the bloods just drained out of me reading that. I feel sick. I hope those fockers get what they deserve!

You just know they won't thoughm that's the awful fact. Even if they were caught they wouldn't be punished significantly enough - a fine maybe and a ban from keeping animals. Big deal!

I quite agree. It's the same with people who sell and buy without the correct passports. There IS a reason that it doesn't have a passport
Genuine owners can just reapply if they actually lost it.

The whole thing is a farce.

Poor little filly :(

When I read this I was appalled and assumed they had dragged her off the trailer already dead, when I read further down that she was PTS I cried, poor little filly.

Why do you think they bothered with a rug? I am assuming they had no conscience at all and weren't trying to cover up the fact that she was emaciated?

But JEMIMA THIS is what happens when people DONT GIVE A **** and dont bother to CALL the charity! The Charity probably WOULD TRY to get the filly placed somewhere.

Poor Poor animal xxxx

poor sweet little baby horse you have suffered but now at peace - go play with the stars :( RIP and to the owner - rot in hell - there is no excuse for abuse and cruelty. The fact it was emacicated speaks volumes. I so hope we turn the corner on the repeated news of yet again another act of cruelty, of abondoned horses, horses starving.

load of rubbish, as others have said people like this do not ring charities!! You have no right to have a go at people via this link!!

emaciacated, hind legs bound, believed to be dragged off moving vechile - sorry this was not the action of a person who cares, who would phone a charity - no excuse what so ever for this action. Yes there are people out there struggling and love thier horses but the legs bound - this poor poor soul had no chance no hope. Im just glad the little poor soul is at peace now

ps having worked for a charity I have seen the abuse and heard the excuses and well to me there is no excuse for cruelty - none what so ever but only my thoughts

Sorry I see your point of view, but I have no sympathy what so ever for someone who abandons an animal in this way... There are always other options available to people. The filly sounds like she suffered horribly at (more then likely) their hands

Such a waste... :(

Coloured filly, legs tied up and treated horrifically? Likely to be the ******. Sick bastards - parts of this case are similar to something which happened very close to home horse-wise and they disgust me.

 FFS !! If you are going to dump an animal atleast dump it at a rescue centres gate or something where it will be found and dealt with properly! People like that are scum bags!! Anyone who can do that to an animal is capable of murder to a human IMO ...sickos

That's horrendous, just plain cruelty  poor little thing, nothing deserves to be treated that way - except maybe her owners.

I don't understand how anybody can do that to an animal, I just don't get it.

And yet have just seen the H&H online news feed and there is yet another story about a dead filly found dead and mutilated in a ditch. What is the world coming to - nation of animal lovers? Seemingly not! It's disgraceful.
