BH went jumping today, this is his third ever attempt and only his fourth show ever, and he won a frilly.

This video is the first round of our first class so it's a bit sticky and my riding is poor. OH stormed off home with the camera after this so I don't have any video of his jump off (which was a much nicer round) or the second class we did which was 2'9'' and by far the biggest I've jumped him in public!

Anyway, I guess I am proud of the old sprout given that he has only had rubbishy old me to teach him and he's a good chap really. Enjoy and feel free to CC (if you can be bothered to wait for it to stream it's available in HD)

I've just renamed it

bh's super amazing video

in the hope that it will be searchable! Probably not but TFC is on the case of the pesky swear filter if it doesn't work!

O and you'll know which one it is because my user name is the same everywhere I go!

Glad it worked.

I'm foolishly proud of him considering what a reputation he used to have for being a thug and that he couldn't canter or jump when I got him. He's really grown up. Bless his little cottons :)

Ahh he was fab all day will post some piccys from my round if I dare to face the hho onslaught for not being dressed the part and competing a horse I have never sat on :p.

Couple of video stills that I've pulled off non working video

You got to go jumping! (following on from 'will his leg be ok by Sunday' thread that I put up - it was, but didn't dare take him!).

On the plus side, I took Pie Face (5 year old naughty mare, aka Sky) up to a friend's school and practiced canter transitions (without flinging hind legs in the air and she was v. good :)

Looks like you had fun, well done BH and congrats on the rossy!

Ok I will I will add a special line about having a safe hat and only intending to have a play on him in the warm up which is true. But it will have to be tommorow as I'm back at uni now and I'm off over to a friends :D. Hopefully they will then be able to gloss over the ad libed circles in between :p.

Found it! and it's working now!

he's looking good, just one comment is that he looks like he needs gathering up a bit to let him jump more smoothly from canter. But he's coming on nicely!

Nope, that won't work because stupid spell checker has changed it for you too :p lol

He does get very, very long. At home I can pull him together a bit better, not a lot but a bit!, but out it is all too exciting to listen to my boring half halts. His jump off he was quite nice but by his second class he was totally bowling along and got really flat at points. If I shove the jumps up he's a bit better. He seems to have utter contempt for the things I am happy to jump. Which is odd given that no one else has ever jumped him. Don't know where he finds his confidence from!

O dear. Rubbish. Horses, who'd have 'em. My filly is definitely very much grounded due to her massive hock if it makes you feel better.

we were fourth in the class the pictures are from. I wasn't expecting to be anywhere so I had got off and undone the zips on my boots and had to get my rosette on foot looking like a right tramp. Again. Got to stop doing that :o
