Well im finally taking the plunge n doing by BHS Stage 1 this sept.....10 years later! n hopefully doing Stage 2 in Oct.

Im doing it either in Brenningstown in Bray Co Wicklow or Laurel View in Ballyclare Antrim....anyone know a B&B where i could lay my head the night before up there?

I did my stage 3 at Brennanstown last month and I stayed here: Woodville B&B Ballywaltrim Lane, Bray, Co Wicklow 01 2863103. About €40-45 I think and literally only 3 mins from Brennanstown.

Best of luck!

Wow, you're going to be busy! Are you working through the exams on your own or through a college course?

I passed the stage 3 care last month and am planning on stage 3 riding early next year. I had surgery on my back last year so need I need to build up my back muscles a bit more!

ah well ive been riding since i was 7 and forever i had planned on going to college and do it but i damaged my back at 16 landing from a jump and thought i wudnt be able for it, i always regretted it! so now ten years on its still bugging me..so im ready to go ahead now.

I have my own horse now, which is a great advantage, but i've a LOT of "bad habits" but my back is getting much better though im not doing too much jumping as it aggrivates it so im in two minds which direction to take...teaching or management, im not really a fan of the jumping in stage 2, 10yrs ago i wudnt of blinked an eye! ... so ill prob go management route, we'll see!

im at the yard 7 days a week after work so i have plenty of people to make me do things the "BHS way" lol , stage 1 is very basic, but in an exam situation i'll just go blank!

i actually have to go to Laurel View to do mine now instead of brenningstown, its booked out! nice road trip from Cork to Antrim and back again!
