Just become a gold member (cheapest way of getting my liability insurance) and my membership pack came today with about a million leaflets, it also mentioned discounts and member benefits..does anyone know what the discounts are? Anyone else a gold member?
I'm thinking of joining a riding club for when my horse is fitter and can do a bit more, won't ever be much because of his arthritis bit I'm a bit nervous about that, he's my 1st horse and I don't want to look novicey in front of all the people who have been there for years! Has anyone got any advice, what do riding clubs do exactly? I'm in Surrey so will probably be the Bookham riding club.

Warlingham is a really friendly club and they are out of the LEZ too.

they hold loads of events and cater for everyone!

I dont think you get any discount when you join a riding club if you are a BHS member but i know that the riding clubs are pretty cheap to join anyway

Can't speak for riding clubs in surrey, but mine is so friendly There are riders of literally all levels - from the 6 year old beginner and novice adults, to the super fancy and mega experienced dressage types and showjumpers. From my experience there is room for everyone. I personally have taken advantage of trying dressage for their first time and making the most of the training clinics.

I hope you have lots of fun.
