Can some-one help me out please.
I am going trekking in Wales next week on a friends horse. I am not insured for 3rd party liability as my insurance policy covers my horse (and therefore whoever is handling/riding him), not me individually (and I've only recently started riding other horses so it's never been an issue until now)
Friend is a BHS Gold member and gets her 3rd party insurance cover through that.
Am I right in thinking that that will cover her/whatever horse she is riding at the time but not her horses? And therefore I won't be covered on her mare, if there was an accident?

Thanks in advance.

I rang the BHS to check when my friend wanted to ride my horse and they said it covered other people to ride her on an occassional basis as long as it wasn't permanent or involving money.

Lovely, thanks for that.
I've only ridden her once before, will ride her again this week to check we get on ok then probably won't ride her again after Sunday, it's just to help her out. So looks good for the insurance.
Cheers
