Do they still do this?

I was having a chat with mum again today about how she'll cope after I move because at the moment I'm telling her how to do things or she's asking me to find out information for her and I suggested the horse owners certificate would be a good idea but I can't find it on the BHS website now

Can anyone help me or link me to the right page, I'm having a numpty moment

The above is a link to the details for the HOC. To find an instructor who runs them you would need to search on the register of instructors in your area. It is possible to search specifically for HOC instructors, let me know if you have a problem doing that.

It is worth noting that HOC is completely theory based and the practical side of things are not always covered. For example, I run mine during the winter at a community centre BUT I do encourage people to take the additional practical sessions I put on.

Yes :)
I'm doing a horse owners exam. :) I found an instructor on the bhs website and I practice all the practical things and I will then take the exam. I think its worth doing the practical bit even if you don't take the exam :) personally I could be told how to do something/read loads of books but wouldnt be sure unless I watched someone do it and could try it for myself. If you email some local instructors hopefully one might do something similar :)

There's a horse owners course at my local college but it's entirely theoretical and I'm not sure it would be so useful.

I'm not sure if the cost varies
