Hi Everybody,
I have finally found a lovely girl to loan my lovely welshie, and am confident the yard will be right when I go over to check it (No more barbed wire/Parelli disasters etc..!)
I was just wondering, those with experience of loaning, as this is my first time... Is there anything you would add to the BHS contract?
Is there anything you wish you had specified before hand, I was thinking maybe regular lessons as he will be her first horse and as much as he went beautifully for her, and she is definitely sensible and kind and confident she has been riding less nice horses so held him too tight until she realised he wouldn't bugger off etc..
What do you think about tack? He would be going on loan for a couple of years minimum I would expect?? I don't really want to send him with mine (one too expensive, and fits only him, one I ride my other horse in and fits both but because it has air flocking its a bit rolly on him because he has a really round back) Would it be unreasonable to ask her to provide a saddle and insist it was properly fitted...??
All advice gratefully rec'd!! Thanks
