I have just received this response from the BHS. Those of you that have also emailed may well get the same one, as it's a round robin.

Sounds really, really promising:

Dear All,

Thank you for your recent e-mails concerning the horrific events at Spindles Farm, near Amersham. Firstly, I have to apologise to you all for replying via a group e-mail. This is not normally how The BHS would do things but we have been overwhelmed by the volume of emails we have received and for me to reply to them all individually would mean I did nothing else for the next week at least! And, as I am sure you can appreciate, there are other things that I need to be doing following on from what has happened.

Please not I have used blind-copying to create the group so no other parties will be able to find your e-mail addresses.

At this point in time I am not in a position to say a great deal. What I can say is that the BHS are taking this whole thing very seriously and are considering the best course of action. Please don't take the word "considering" to be as passive as it sounds - I have been doing nothing except dealing with this case for the last few days and you can rely on us not to let you, or the horses involved in the case, down. You have my word on that.

In the meantime I would like to thank you for all of the support offered so far. This is actually incredibly important and the more support we receive the more it drives us on.

Rest assured that action is being taken and things are going on. This will all become more visible in due course.

Once again, thank you for your e-mails.

Best wishes

Lee
