help meee!!!

Have it tomorrow, how difficult is it?

what sorta q's do they ask?

how difficult is the riding or is it just basic common sense?

how thoroguhly do i have had to have read the manual? do i need to know anything from the highway code that isnt in it?

what do i wear for it?

do you find out if you pass/fail on the day?

how many mistakes are you allowed to make (basically is it an easy thing to pass)?

sorry for q overload, can you tell im stressing?
 
its well easy, if youve done some revision which it sounds like you have. riding is basic, just be in control. be confident but cautious - look look look with the riding. it was ages ago when did mine, so cant remember q's, but sure it basic highwaycode, plus horse specific stuff, like riding 2 a breast and group sizes, they just need to know you will be safe! know the sequence of checks and signaling before making a 'manouver' on you steed!

dress smart, i think i wore cream johds and hacking jacket, though i think you can wear jumper, they giv u high viz

I did this a few years ago and I was so nervous before but passed 1st time, found out on the day. You do a multiple choice (I think) test on the highway code and riding on the roads 1st, then if you get the pass mark or above (it was 7/10 I think) you progress to the road simulation, I did mine in an indoor school and you pretend you're on the road, you have to get off and lead the horse past a hazard and get back on again, and do a short trot. If they think you're safe and you pass that stage you do a short bit on a quiet road, trot if you can.
I had about 4 lessons with a group and an instructor to prepare for this, have you had any? You don't have to wear anything special, just sensible riding clothes and make sure your tack is in good condition as they examine it before they let you ride, make sure your keepers are in etc like in stage 1. Might be worth wearing a high-viz tabard if you have one, shows that you're safety conscious but we didn't wear them.

You must have good observations,look behind left as well when you come back in from overtaking cars or obstacles and turn left ,of course look behind right before any manoever[ life saving look].Give Clear straight arm signals with thumb on top ,never signal with whip..
You need at least 8 out of 10 questions right and make sure your tack is safe and girth tight.Get a move on when on a road that is safe to trot on .

Look, look and look again (and make sure the examiners see you do it) You should have had some training for this, I had to have 4 hours training before I was allowed to take mine
Think you have to wear light coloured jodhs and gloves and a hat up to current safety standards but apart from that not sure. Don't have to have jacket and tie or anything like that and they supply tabards, you may want other high viz stuff.
Questions are basic highway code and common sense eg if rush hour round your yard was 4-5pm what time would you ride?

When I took mine they ask different riders different questions most are common sense but they asked most of us abour the A B C emergency Aid. You also had to dismount and lead your horse a short distance then remount on the wrong side.
Horse's shoe's should be good, all tack good not loose or badley worn girth straps etc.
