Bhs stage 1 questions!

I have my bhs stage 1 on Tuesday! – freaking out a little bit!.....i could do with a few questions/queries answered!

1. How long should I be grooming for? Someone said about 20mins....doesnt take me 20mins to groom a horse :/

2. Do they ask you to put the tail bandage on? Or do you just do it?

3. Did you wash the horses hooves? And oil them.....just seems a little pointless when standing in a bed!

4. Do you have to get on from the ground? Or can you use a block...only i feel that if the block is an option i would always use it as it puts less strain on the horses back (and i don’t bounce that well)

5. Finally clothing – have read their directives – but want to check!
Long black boots
Yellow/cream breeches
Shirt and stock
Blue plain round neck jumper for ground work
Hacking jacket for ridden work
Hat and gloves
Whip

cant think of any more right now........

Just want to go fully prepared! Thank you for any help! And any more advice greatly appreciated!

I can't answer your questions personally but there is a really good thread written by a lady who did it last year. She goes through it step by step in a number of different posts. She did a training day beforehand if I remember correctly but it was a very informative post.Think they discuss mounting from the ground/mounting block during the thread. Link below ....
