Good afternoon all,

I am new so sorry if this subject is already somewhere on the forum.
I did a RPEL to go straight to the exam for the Stage 2 Ride, Care & Lunge.
Before to continue my project, I would like some help to understand how, where can I train for the Unit 4 : Coach. I am still struggling to understand.
The BHS told me you need to find a BHS Accredited Center, but it seems really rare in my county ^^(Herefordshire).

So if anyone is happy to help me to understand this part, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you very much

Helene

In order to do your 2 teach, firstly you'll need your Stage 2 ride, care, lunge, your safeguarding and your first aid course. Also you'll need some hands on teaching practice/experience, hence why the BHS has suggested finding a training centre.

The training centre will provide you with both coaching theory and the chance to teach. You may need to travel. Have you tried these guys? https://www.hlcollege.ac.uk/campuses-sub/5820a9d24f1c0/The-Equestrian-Centre

Yes I know this part thank you.
Yes I have, they can't help for the teaching part.
I have contacted Malvern riding school and the Talland school, but no reply yet

It’s definitely worth getting some training in teaching the way you need to to pass the exam, though I did mine in the old format, you do really need to know what they are looking for with regards the coaching.

I’m in the NW so no help to you really, but I did manage to find a riding school offering training and it was well worth a few sessions.

Yes I want to know where I am going of course before to continue.
I would love to find someone who did it, and in my area, and could give me some guidance to know how I have to continue

Judith Murphy and Carole Broad are both based around the Gloucestershire/Herefordshire border. Both are Fellows of the BHS and BHS Assessors. They will be able to offer guidance more specific to the area. Google/BHS APC list should find them for you.
