I did my stage 1 years ago on the old format and it was pretty much show wear, everyone was in tweeds and stocks. I've heard it's less so now, have been looking on the BHS website for guidance on what to wear for the ride module, but it doesn't really specify? One section says wear long sleeves, jumper or gilet, another says wear a shirt and stock for the jumping section? Anyone taken it recently who can advise please? Thanks in advance!

Assuming it’s the same dress code as stage 1, then it’s no longer formal dress - sensible and safe is what’s required, so dark jodhpurs are fine but no sleeveless tops etc

I did my two last September - long boots, beige breeches, you must wear a long sleeved shirt and tie/stock for the jumping, and then either jacket, or smart jumper.

That said there were people there not in shirt and stock and as far as I know nothing was said.
