BHS way of riding with reins in one hand?

We are having major panic here, as my daughter has her BHS stage two exam tomorrow, and we have just realised she needs to be able to ride with the reins in one hand. Her instructor has never mentioned this!
Can anyone tell me the correct way to do this, is it like when you use a double bridle,or is there a special BHS way?

I was taught the bridged way in one hand for my BHS stages and that's the way I have always done it, always exercised the hunters ride and lead this way.

Maybe it's changed though?
