Big belly and soft droppings

My 2 year old is having a bit of a reaction to the spring grass. He is not fat, ribs are still easily felt, but looks a bit bloated and his droppings are softer. He isn't scouring, but they are not the normal perfectly formed "nuggets" and are certainly greener. He is his normal happy self. The other pony was similar when put in this field, but is looking a little too well, so he has his muzzle on and his dropping are now back to normal and his grass belly has gone down.

I can't move them to different grazing and cannot bring them in for part of the day, but wondered if there was anything I could add to his feed to help him cope with the change in grass? He has 1 feed a day of fast fibre with ProHoof and has access to haynets in the field shelter (they are ignoring it as the grass is good). The ProHoof has Yea Sacc in it I believe, is there anything else I can feed him that will help with the bloating?

You already have the yea-sacc on board as you say.

No chance of keeping them in the shelter for the day and do nights out?

Or temporary fencing a small area for part of the day/strip grazing?

You could try charcoal while the grass is so rich.

And give him a stiff talking to for being such a gannet ;)

Hay.

I feed hay with haylage over winter to settle stomachs and same with fresh grass, a token amount seems to slow it from going straight through them.

(Sorry read your post on haynets. We feed on ground and a token amount rather than making them work for it when the grass is so accessible. Most seem to eat at least some of it and any excess is removed, not usually much and next haying is then taylored to a little less. Certainly makes a big difference and was recommended by a vet for the haylage balance)
