Big break in, Cardiff/Caerphilly area

A yard in the Cardiff/Caerphilly area was broken in to Sunday and 20 saddles, tack and a trailer were stolen. This was not an opportunistic theft as the tack & saddles were taken from a big metal lock up and the trailer was padlocked. The yard itself has three locked gates going down to it, so they knew exactly what they were doing and must have sussed the yard out beforhand. We had this information given to us at our yard first hand. Hopefully they will have had their fill but beware.

There was also one in the Crosskeys/Pontywaun/Cwmcarn. I can't give specific details as it happened to a colleague in our Newport office and I haven't spoken to her. Apparently rugs, tack and a genny were taken from her stables behind her parent's house.

I am just outside Cardiff (Llantrisant) and the horses kept at home. We had a break in at the beginning of December with our 8 saddles and bridles stolen. They knew exactly where to look and what to take - didn't touch any of hubby's power tools etc.

We think they were going to try for the trailer too but it was actually left hitched and locked onto one of our vehicles that night.
