Big flake shavings in bulk?

I am looking to get my next batch of shavings - I would prefer the big flake shavings, and need them delivered, around 50 bales I think would suffice for another 18 months.

I have used White Horse Shavings before, but the minimum delivery was 150 bales, which I split with others on the yard, I can't do that this time so need a smaller batch.

Any suggestions & approximate prices? I paid £5.60 per bale in November 2008 for the last lot, when the shop prices were £8-9 per bale, so I'm hoping for a bit cheaper now!!!

Where abouts are you. I am in Cambs and order directly from a company called Shavings Direct, SG19 based. They deliver 36 bales on a pallet and you can have from 1 pallet upwards delivered. Delivered price is similar to that you paid for your last lot.

Also Lincs Forage do Bedmax for £6 per bale, would be extra for delivery though.

I'm between Notts & Leics, not far from the M1 - which is useful!

I will look at Shavings Direct, but oddly my friend uses the same folk as the last lot I got, and will share a delivery, so if I can a) persuade her to take just over half and b) I can persuade YO to let me have a slightly bigger storage spot, I may have solved it!
