Bah! Put the horses all in together last night, so they had shelter as both the 'delicate' eventers were shivering after all the rain (they had rugs on too). So one 17hh, one 16hh, a 14.2, 13hh and 1d it and 12hh. Naturally, the big lad has come in with a swollen knee!
It's not hot, I hosed it and it seemed to help, and it's got clay poultice on it to try and help.
My suspicion is the littlest one (no shoes) decided to kick him and this is it as it's only swollen mainly on the outside and there's no wound etc. so a bruise?
What would you do with this sort of thing?
