There is a very slight slope out side my stale which means that when it rains sometimes it will drain down to outside my door. I don't have concrete outside my stable, just grass. Luckily it doesn't get boggy, the water will just sit there.
Does anyone else have this kind of problem? What do you put down? I was looking at those rubber matts with holes in designed for gateways but not sure if it will do anything

Hard core - it has worked for me..........Last winter all my stables flooded, and I tasked my husband with doing something about it - he is a farmer and therefore agricultural in his outlook - he ordered 40 tonne of hard core that he put down as a base for the stables and the areas around them. At the time I lambasted him, as the stones were huge - but we invested in lots of shavings to put on top of the stones - and yesterday everything on the farm was washed out except my stables......I had to do some big humble pie eating......!!
